AI integration services

  • Reads and writes your real systems
  • Fails safely when the other side is down
  • Built on APIs where they exist, carefully where they do not

The model is the easy part

Most AI projects do not fail at the model. They fail at the seam between the model and the systems a business actually runs on - the billing platform, the CRM, the inventory, the WHMCS install, the spreadsheet somebody maintains by hand. That seam is usually the larger half of the work and almost never the half that gets quoted.

What integration actually means here

Four jobs, and the order matters because each one depends on the last.

The work, in order

Reading your data

Getting the assistant or agent access to what it needs to answer: the customer record, the order status, the stock level, the open ticket. Through an API where one exists, and through a read-only database view or an export where one does not.

Writing back safely

Creating the ticket, updating the record, issuing the refund. This is where the risk lives, so it gets the narrowest permissions the task allows and an approval step wherever the action cannot be undone.

Authentication and identity

Knowing which customer is asking, and proving it before showing them anything account-specific. An assistant that will discuss an order with whoever quotes the number is a data-protection problem, not a feature.

Failing safely

The other system will be down, slow or rate-limited at some point. The assistant has to say "I cannot reach that right now, shall I get somebody" rather than invent an answer or hang. Designing that path is work, and skipping it is how a good demo becomes an embarrassing launch.

What we integrate with, and what to expect

Three situations, in descending order of how well they usually go.

By what you already run

Systems with a real API

WHMCS, cPanel, Shopify, Stripe, Razorpay, most modern CRMs and helpdesks. These are the good case: documented, authenticated, versioned. We are an authorised WHMCS reseller and write WHMCS modules, so that one in particular is familiar ground rather than a discovery exercise.

Systems with a database but no API

Common with older in-house software. Workable through a read-only view and a narrow write path, but it means your schema becomes part of the contract, so an upgrade on their side can break it. We say so before starting rather than after.

Systems with neither

A desktop application, a portal with no API, a process that lives in somebody's inbox. The options are browser automation or a file exchange, both fragile, and sometimes the honest answer is that the integration is not worth its maintenance cost yet. We will tell you that too.

AI integration: common questions

Four things: giving the model read access to the data it needs, giving it a narrow and safe write path for the actions it may take, proving who the user is before showing them anything account-specific, and designing what happens when the other system is unavailable. Together they are usually the larger half of an AI project.

Yes, and it is the integration we know best - we are an authorised WHMCS reseller and build WHMCS modules. Typical work is answering billing and ticket questions from live account data, drafting responses for a human to approve, and provisioning or suspending on instruction rather than by hand.

Then the route is a read-only database view and a narrow write path, or a file exchange, or browser automation as a last resort. All three are more fragile than an API and tie you to the other system's internals, so we quote them as such and tell you what will break them.

Identity is proven before anything account-specific is shown - through a logged-in session, a verified email, or a one-time code - and the data layer scopes every query to that identity rather than trusting the conversation. An assistant that discusses an order with whoever quotes the number is a data-protection incident waiting to happen.

The assistant says it cannot reach that system and offers a person, rather than inventing an answer or timing out silently. That path is designed and tested as part of the build, because it is the one your customers will eventually meet.

Usually, yes - and most quotes get this the wrong way round. The model work is a small, well-understood part; connecting it to systems that each have their own authentication, data model and failure modes is where the hours go. We scope from your systems rather than from a template for exactly this reason.
