Vision 2030 pushed a lot of Saudi trade online in a hurry, and most of it now has to work in two scripts, settle in riyals, satisfy a data-protection regulator that did not exist a decade ago, and stay up through a calendar that peaks around Ramadan and Hajj rather than around Christmas. Those are the six things we get asked about most often by buyers in the Kingdom.
An Arabic site is not an English site with the text swapped. The document direction flips, the stylesheet logical properties have to follow it, Arabic web fonts are heavier than Latin ones because of the contextual letter forms, and a cache that was tuned on a Latin theme will happily serve a broken mirrored layout. Our stack runs LiteSpeed Enterprise with LSCache, EasyApache ea-php83 and full UTF-8 across MySQL, so Arabic content, Arabic slugs and mixed ar and en pages behave the way you built them. If your theme ships an RTL stylesheet, it loads; if it does not, we will tell you that before you migrate rather than after.
Saudi riyals sit alongside USD, EUR, GBP and INR in the ElySpace currency list, so you can compare a plan in the unit your finance team actually budgets in instead of doing mental arithmetic on a dollar figure that moves. What matters more than the display currency is that the amount you approve in the cart is the amount that gets charged, and that renewal is priced in the open rather than hidden behind an introductory teaser. Ask for the renewal figure before you order and we will put it in writing.
Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law, supervised by SDAIA, applies to personal data about people in the Kingdom even when the processing happens elsewhere. That makes you the controller and your host one of your processors, which means you need to know who we are, what we hold, where it sits and what happens if something goes wrong. Our data protection commitments set out the processing agreement and the sub-processor position in writing, and if your PDPL assessment needs a specific answer from us, ask for it in a ticket and you will get one in writing rather than a marketing sentence.
The Kingdom works Sunday to Thursday and rests on Friday and Saturday, on Arabia Standard Time at UTC+3. A host that staffs one Western business day is useless to you on a Sunday morning and unreachable when your Thursday evening deployment goes sideways. ElySpace runs live chat and the ticket desk around the clock, every day, so 09:00 in Riyadh on a Sunday is an ordinary staffed hour here. Support is delivered in English; plenty of Saudi teams run the hosting relationship in English while the website itself is entirely in Arabic, because those are two separate problems and only one of them lives in the ticket queue.
Most Saudi companies end up holding two names: a .com for the wider Gulf and a .sa or .com.sa that signals they are a real registered business at home. The .sa space is run by SaudiNIC and third-level names such as .com.sa are issued against documentation, typically a Saudi commercial registration, which is why they are usually held through a local registrar. That does not stop you hosting here. Point the nameservers at us and the site, the mail and the SSL all work exactly as they would on a name bought through our own domain search and transfer tools.
Named parts, not adjectives: LiteSpeed Enterprise as the web server, CloudLinux for per-account isolation so a neighbour's runaway script is not your outage, cPanel and WHM for management, Imunify360 for malware detection and the application firewall, JetBackup for scheduled snapshots, NVMe SSD storage, EasyApache ea-php83, and Cloudflare in front. That is the platform the 99.9% uptime SLA is written against. If a component in that list matters to your procurement checklist, it is there in black and white rather than implied.
Live chat and tickets run every hour of every day, so the Saudi working week and the Friday to Saturday weekend are both covered.
UTF-8 end to end, LSCache that respects your RTL stylesheet, and PHP 8.3 that handles Arabic strings without mangling them.
Ask which region will serve your account and you get a specific answer before payment, not a vague map of the world afterwards.
Moving from a Saudi or Gulf host? Our team lifts the files, databases and mailboxes, and you approve the DNS cutover.
Three things separate a Saudi hosting decision from a generic one: the script, the calendar and the compliance file. Here is how each one lands on the platform.
The usual Saudi build is one brand with two faces: Arabic at the root for customers in the Kingdom, English for suppliers, investors and Gulf partners. Run both from one account and the work is in the details. Each language needs its own indexable URL rather than a cookie or an IP redirect, the pair needs reciprocal hreflang so search engines do not treat one as a copy of the other, the Arabic side needs dir="rtl" on the document rather than a stylesheet hack, and both need to survive the same cache rules. Our LiteSpeed setup lets you vary the cache on the language path, so an Arabic visitor is never handed a cached English page and vice versa.
Saudi traffic does not follow a Western retail year. It swells through Ramadan nights, spikes hard in the days before Eid, moves again around the Hajj season and shifts every year because the Hijri calendar slides against the Gregorian one. If your host sized your account against a flat monthly average, those are the weeks it falls over. Plan for the peak rather than the mean: know your entry processes and memory ceiling, keep object caching on so the database is not re-answering the same query thousands of times an hour, and agree the upgrade path in advance so the change is a plan swap in the client area rather than an emergency at 02:00. Every ElySpace account can move up a tier without rebuilding, and your data stays where it is while it happens.
Two Saudi requirements reach your hosting account even though neither is a hosting product. The first is tax: the standard VAT rate in the Kingdom is 15%, and ZATCA now expects registered businesses to issue electronic invoices, which means the invoicing or e-commerce application you run here has to be able to produce them and keep them. The second is data: under the PDPL you have to be able to say where personal data goes and who touches it, including transfers outside the Kingdom. Neither is solved by a badge on a hosting page. What we can do is give you the specifics your accountant and your DPO need, in writing, with a named contact on the ticket. Tell us what the form asks for and we will answer that form.
Four steps, and the only one with a deadline is the DNS change, which you control. Nothing switches over until you say it does.
Tell us where your audience sits and what your PDPL assessment needs. We confirm which region will serve the account before you pay.
Choose a plan from our shared cPanel hosting range, set the display currency to SAR and check the renewal figure before you confirm.
Open a ticket with your current cPanel or FTP details. We copy files, databases and mailboxes, then hand you a staging URL to check the Arabic layout.
Once the copy looks right in both languages, you change the nameservers at whichever registrar holds your .sa or .com name. Old host stays live until it stops resolving.
The three questions worth asking any host before you buy are which region serves you, what the renewal costs, and what they will put in writing about personal data. Ask us all three. If a WordPress build in Arabic is what you are moving, our managed WordPress stack is where most of these projects land, and if you want a person rather than a form you can reach the ElySpace team directly.
That's probably enough from us, we'll let our customers do the talking and with over 2000 reviews on Trustpilot and Facebook, see for yourself why you can trust us to power your website.
Three protections come switched on with every plan rather than sold back to you as an upgrade. They are the ones that decide whether an Arabic storefront survives its first busy Ramadan week.
A payment gateway will not call back to an invalid certificate, and a Saudi shopper will not type card details into a browser warning. SSL is issued free on every domain and every subdomain on the account, renews on its own, and covers your Arabic and English hostnames alike.
See what a plan includesScheduled snapshots kept off the live server, restorable per file, per database or in full from cPanel. Take one before a theme update, an RTL stylesheet change or a plugin you are unsure about, and the rollback is minutes rather than a rebuild from whatever the developer has on a laptop.
Read our data commitmentsReal-time malware scanning, an application firewall and automatic clean-up, running on top of CloudLinux account isolation so a compromised neighbour cannot become your incident. For a site holding customer records under the PDPL, that is not a nice extra, it is the baseline.
Read the uptime SLAYou do not need to time it around anything. We copy the site while your existing host keeps serving, you check the Arabic pages and the checkout on a staging URL, and you change the nameservers when it suits you. Files, databases and mailboxes come across at no charge, and there is a 30-day money-back guarantee behind the whole thing if the platform turns out not to suit you.
